Description and Purpose:
The Arizona Native Plant Society provides a limited number of Publication
Grants to nonprofit organizations or individuals for publications or
related projects such as artwork that are recognized as contributing
to scientific knowledge about native plants, public understanding of
native plants and their environments, or conservation of native plants.
Awards will be made for purposes such as assisting with publication in scientific journals, publishing regional plant lists for general distribution, paying for artwork for publications, producing brochures and booklets for the general public, producing educational materials for schools, or developing web pages. A draft copy of the product will be required for consideration of a grant.
Grants will be awarded to products that focus primarily on Arizona native plants and that will reach the broadest audience possible. Grants are not intended to fund research or on-going publications and will be awarded for external, non-profit products only.
Applications are judged on the basis of their consistency with the purposes and selection criteria described above. If a grant is awarded, the applicant shall provide a copy of the final product to the Society and agree to publishing the product on the ANPS web page in whole or in part.
If you are interested in applying for an ANPS Publication Grant, you can view/download a ANPS Publication Grant Application PDF file. Application deadline for 2006 is March 31, 2006. Awards will be announced by June 15, 2006.
